IT Governance

Welcome to the IT Governance website, the place for information on projects and planning for Information Technology. 

The Information Technology Department, in partnership with the campus community, has established a governance structure to prioritize technology initiatives for the University of Kansas. The development and implementation of this IT Governance framework were developed using best practices and lessons learned from other higher education institutions, and knowledge gained from industry consultants like EDUCAUSE and Gartner. Following these well-documented approaches, KU IT will build structures and processes over time, introducing new features as the framework becomes stable. KU IT Governance will continually evolve, relying on best practices and industry standards.
