  • KU Lawrence Campus-wide Space Scheduling Tool

This project comes from the Provost’s Administrative Services Review that took place in spring, 2021. One of the recommendations associated with space, was to implement a universal space scheduling tool. KU has several different programs, apps, and resources that accommodate with scheduling the various types of space across campus. Ideally, we would have one, robust, holistic space scheduling solution. Start date: October 2021 Target date: August 2022 Status: Planning

Infrastructure

  • School of Pharmacy AV Upgrade

The School of Pharmacy building is currently going on year 10 of use (Built in 2010). The building still has its original Audio Visual system that was installed at time of construction. It has become end of life and is in need of being replaced. The current AV system is integrated into the entire building allow all Audio and Video equipment to be routed to a control room in the building where IT staff can monitor and control classrooms, conference rooms, etc. All of the current AV equipment was wired using a fiber cable from the control room to the equipment. This fiber cable has become obsolete and no longer used in equipment. So in considering a new AV system for the building this will require all new cabling to be run for current equipment on today's market. All classes are taught synchronously between their students at their Wichita campus and UMKC campus. This project will work hand in hand with the School of Pharmacy and their faculty to ensure the new AV system will have the capabilities and functionality as requested by the faculty. Start: 01-04-2021 End: 03-31-2022 Status: Planning
