Steering Committees

KU IT participates and has membership in many different steering committees at the university, which contribute or feed into the overall IT Governance structure. Some of these steering committees were first developed by KU IT in partnership with campus units, as new services were introduced. New steering committees are formed as needed. We are currently in the process of reviewing the charters and membership of these committees, and will publish information as it is updated. Below is a link to information about these committees. 

Known Committees / In Development

  • Academic Systems Steering Committee (ASSC)

    This committee reviews and approves proposed projects regarding Blackboard features and functionality. Committee members bring feedback from their departments and schools to assist KU IT in determining priorities for requested development. Status: Currently being updated by ASSC?

  • Scanning and Document Workflow Steering Committee (ImageNow)

    Status: Currently being updated by AMJ and committee. Charter / scope was in draft format. Nothing available public

  • Campus Access and Transaction Services Steering Committee (CATS)

    Nothing available public. There is an email DL setup for the steering committee. No charter, no membership list.

  • E-Commerce Steering Committee

    The E-commerce Committee is comprised of the Office of the Comptroller and Information Technology staff representing administrative and functional governance for the security, maintenance and accounting of e-commerce for the Lawrence campus and all reporting units. The committee is chaired by the Assistant Comptroller, Comptroller’s Office – Financial Accounting & Cash Control and co-chaired by the Associate Director, Information Technology – Client Development and Application Services. STATUS: Unknown. No official charter / membership list. Linked off the e-commerce website.

  • TeamDyanmix / Ticketing?

    Status: Believe to be in progress to create. Unknown what information is being gathered for charter / scope / membership.
